Past and present and personal decisions (what if ...)
The past is past because it has come to an end and can from now on – i.e. from a single point in time – only be remembered [analysed, interpreted, argued …]. What can be remembered can also be forgotten, but what if the past isn’t forgotten anymore? What if it can not be forgotten, because what once had been present has now been documented excessively through photos, videos, audiofiles? If every single present moment would be recorded, would they all be a future present?
Skateboarders are either part of the photo era, or they feel they belong into the video era [some few reject both of the above for obvious reasons]. Having grown up in the photo era, I am nevertheless taking the following video into the present, because I will never again do a FS Noseslide more neatly.
Filmed by Leo, thanks forever for all the good times.
